Overview of the project:

This project created a 30-second animated video for Tim Hortons' seasonal Timbits box, showcasing the transition from autumn to winter through projection mapping. Using Adobe After Effects and MadMapper, the animation highlighted fall and winter-themed elements, blending creativity and technical precision. The campaign celebrated Tim Hortons' iconic status while delivering a festive and engaging brand experience for young adults, families, and commuters.

Style Title:

Visual guidelines, such as mood boards and color palettes, were developed to ensure a consistent design aesthetic that reflects the transition from autumn to winter. This includes fall-themed warm tones evolving into festive, holiday-inspired elements​

Reflection:

This project was a valuable learning experience, blending teamwork, creativity, and technical skills to bring a concept to life. Conducting audience research deepened our understanding of how seasonal branding resonates with diverse demographics. Crafting the storyboard and visual assets pushed us to innovate while staying true to the brand identity. The use of Adobe After Effects for animation enhanced our motion design skills, while MadMapper provided insights into how projection mapping can transform ordinary surfaces into immersive storytelling mediums. Reflecting on the process, we faced challenges, such as aligning animations to physical spaces and maintaining narrative consistency, but these obstacles strengthened our problem-solving abilities. The final product exceeded our expectations, offering an engaging visual narrative that effectively captures the magic of the holiday season. This project not only expanded our technical expertise but also underscored the power of design in creating emotional connections with audiences.

The project timeline was divided into key sections: the introduction, fall scene, seasonal transition, and winter scene, with each phase having a specific time limit to maintain the audience’s engagement within the 30-second video
